Six pupils from Upper department went to Shrewsbury Sports Village to take part in the Shropshire Boccia finals. There were six schools attending this competition, some mainstream and some special schools. Severndale took two teams to the finals and both teams really enjoyed the day and put on a great performance.

One of our teams finished in fourth place and our other team made it to the final where they played Oakmeadow Primary School. It was a tense final and it came down to the last bowl. where with the final throw we knocked Oakmeadow’s ball out of the way which meant that Severndale won the competition and the trophy.

The pupils have now made it to the West Midlands Final which take place in Birmingham. Congratulations to all six pupils who took part.
