Our Owls class in the early years’ department have been exploring Autumn.

Through expressive art, design, developing fine motor skills and hand eye coordination, their autumnal activity topics of harvest and farms have been investigated in many different ways. They have carved pumpkins and chopped onions to make soup, which they also enjoyed stirring!

They have discovered through role play that they can also make their own bread, just the same as in the story ‘the little red hen’.

Mathematics, sizes and different colours have all played a role during this term as the children have been using weighing scales and filling and emptying containers.
